This self-assessment tool is designed for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It uses the science-proven ASRS-v1.1 symptom checklist to help individuals identify and evaluate their ADHD symptoms.

The importance of screening for adult ADHD cannot be overstated. Research has shown that ADHD symptoms can persist into adulthood, impacting various aspects of an individual's life, including their relationships, careers, and personal safety. Unfortunately, many individuals with ADHD go undiagnosed and do not receive appropriate treatment, hindering their potential for success.

In collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Workgroup on Adult ADHD, the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS-v1.1) Symptom Checklist was developed. This instrument is based on the eighteen DSM-IV-TR criteria for ADHD. Through extensive research, six out of these eighteen questions were identified as the most predictive of ADHD symptoms. These six questions form the ASRS v1.1 Screener and are also included in Part A of the Symptom Checklist, while Part B contains the remaining twelve questions.

It is important to note that this self-assessment tool is not a diagnostic tool and should not replace a professional evaluation by qualified mental health professionals. Only they can accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
